The seminar of the Geological Institute
presents the participants in the "Hristo Dabovski" competition
At the next seminar of the Geological Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, doctoral candidates who have applied for participation in the "Hristo Dabovski" 2026 competition will present their applications.
- Yana Georgieva (part-time PhD student in the ‘Mineralogy and Mineral Resources’ section): ‘Mineralogical and geochemical characterisation of metamorphic rocks from the Krumovishte lithotectonic unit in the Madzharovo ore district’;
- Ivan Alexiev (part-time PhD student in the ‘Geology of Earthquakes’ section): ‘High-resolution mapping of tectonic landforms using LiDAR, positioned via GNSS (Search for traces of past earthquakes)’.
The seminar will be held on October 14, 2026 (Wednesday) at 12:00 p.m. in room 203 of the Geological Institute.
Duration (including discussion): approx. 1 hour.
