On June 27, 2024, a kick-off meeting on the REXPro project “Resilient and effective exploration, mining and processing of critical and strategic raw materials in copper-gold and base metal deposits in Bulgaria: from the ore to the tailing” was held in room 203 of the Geological Institute. The project was approved under the Recovery and Sustainability Mechanism - C2I2 investment "Increasing the innovation capacity of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in the field of green and digital technologies", contract PVU-11: BG-RRP-2.011-0040-C01. The head of the project Prof. I. Peycheva and the heads of the work packages presented the purpose, research objects and tasks of the project. The director of the institute, Prof. S. Georgiev, gave a congratulatory address. The meeting aroused wide interest and was attended by more than 30 interested persons, representatives of various academic and national institutions, geological exploration and mining companies.
