Horizon Europe iNNO SED Project kick-off meeting
We are excited to announce а successful kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe iNNO SED Project – Innovative Sediment Management in the Danube River Basin, which took place on November 6-7th at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). The iNNO SED project aims to transform sediment management practices by introducing advanced modeling and monitoring techniques, with a focus on both sediment quality and quantity. Prof. Dr. Irena Peytcheva, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zlatka Milakovska, and As. Millena Vetseva represented the Geological Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences at the event, and participated in the discussions related to the implementation of the planned activities. At the kick-off meeting Demonstration Site 6 of the project – “Danube River at Silistra” was presented, the implementation of which will be led by our team at the Geological Institute. The participants from GI BAS express their gratitude to the coordinating partners from BME, Sándor Baranya, Barbara Keri, and their team for the excellent organization of the event and warm hospitality!
