Bulgaria's National Delegation to the KBGA
with the support of the BGA, are providing financial support for participation in CBGA 2026
The Bulgarian National Representation in the Carpathian-Balkan Geological Association (CBGA), in cooperation with the Bulgarian Geological Society (BGS), is offering financial support to students, full-time doctoral candidates, retirees, invited speakers, and session chairs to participate in the 23rd CBGA Congress, which will take place from September 9 to 11 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The support covers the costs of: (1) the registration fee (60 euros or 220 euros) and (2) travel expenses or accommodation (200 euros).
Preference will be given to candidates who are lead authors of the publications (abstracts) and presentations (oral or poster) and who do not have project or institutional funding.
To receive financial support, applicants must complete the financial support application form CBGA_2026_Zayvlenie_Grant_BG.docx, attach an abstract formatted in accordance with the requirements of form CBGA_2026_Form-A_Abstract -Submission.docx, and send both documents to the email address rossiv@geology.bas.bg by the end of the day on June 10, 2026.
The decision to approve or reject financial support will be made by the end of the day on June 11, 2026.
Reporting of expenses incurred is carried out using accounting documents in accordance with the procedures established by the Geological Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
