Tz. Vladinova and R. Kalchev on internship at Trinity College, Ireland, under the Erasmus+ program

In the last two weeks of October and the first week of November, the PhD students of the Geological Institute (in Geochemistry), Tsvetomila Vladinova and Radoslav Kalchev, conducted an internship under the "Erasmus+" program at Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. The aim of the internship was to gain skills in the application of the LA-ICP-MS method (Mapping of rare earth elements and isotopic relationships in accessory minerals) and SEM-EDS analysis. Additionally, they had the opportunity to analyze their own samples, which are necessary for their dissertation works. During their stay, they visited the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland, a UNESCO World Heritage site of both cultural and natural significance.
