1981 - 1985
Chemist at the Central Laboratory for Electrochemical Power Sources - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Research studies on lithium - sulphur dioxide electrochemical system and construction of civil and military batteries.
The products developed were used on Everest during the first (1982) and second (1984) Bulgarian Himalayan expeditions.
Participant in several projects:
  • in the national program “Battery 81”.
  • military projects “Hornet”, “AgZn”, “Danube-G”, “Percussion”, “Eva”.
  • Li/SO2 introduce contract with plant “Musala”- Samokov.
  • Li-resist glasses introduce contract with PSC - Botevgrad.
    Designer-constructor of dry rooms, “white” rooms and deionized water systems.

    Chemist-analyst at the Geological Institute - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences

  • Organization of a X-ray fluoresce laboratory in Geological Institute.

    Participant in two bilateral 3-years projects with the Institute of Experimental Mineralogy - Russian Academy of Sciences:

  • 1. Digital zonal modeling of the middle-low temperature acid metasomatites and connected with them cooper porphyric veins and gold mineralization in the ore deposits from the Panagjurishte-Etropole ore region /Bulgaria/.(1997),
  • 2. Thermodynamic and geochemical modeling of the ore parageneses forming the formations from cooper porphyric, polymetallic and gold ore deposits.(1999) - successfully finished 2001.

    Collaborator and senior collaborator in the Scientific Geological Laboratory “Geolab” in Geological Institute - BAS.

  • Project leader of the 2-years project with the BG-FNSF No NZ-907/1999 “Digital modeling of the Au, Ag, Pb, Zn and As in gold and polymetallic ore parageneses deposits.” - successfully finished 2002.
  • Participant in the 3-years project WATMETAPOL/2001 from the NATO program Science for Peace: “Dynamics, evolution and limitation of heavy metal water pollution in the Plovdiv region" (Bulgaria). - successfully finished 2005.
  • Establishment and organization of ICP-AES laboratory in Geological Institute.
    Operator on the ICP-AES apparatus JY”Ultima-2”.
  • Participant in the 3-years project of the BG-FNSF No NZ-1206/2002 “Penetrative improvement of the technicality over damp loess.” - successfully finished 2007.
  • Participant in the 3-years project of the BG-FNSF No NZ-1503/2005 “Geochemistry of the pearlites connected with the Eastern Rhodopes tertiary volcanism”. Ended 2008.
  • Participant in the 3-years project of the BG- Ministry of Education No BYX-12/2005 “New approaches in the determination of “difficult” elements As,, Cd, Hg and Pb in traditional Bulgarian foods and drinks.” Ended 2008.
  • Participant in the 3-years project IB7320-110933/1(2005) of the Swiss National Scientific Foundation SCOPES: “The Black Sea Ecotoxicity assessment”. Ended 2008.
    Operator of the Static Penetration Test device.
