Honestly, anyone who wants to sail by yacht at 40th latitude is a fool, and I new that before to go.
On the other hand, this sailing was one of the biggest trials, that life could offers me and I could felt unsatisfied, if I didn’t go for it.

On December 29th 1987 the Bulgarian yacht "Tivia" and Doncho Papazov set off from the yacht club Argentino ,Buenos Aires to make a non-stop cruise around the world through the "roaring 40s". The trip started on 01/01/1988 from the San Antonio beacon and ended on June 13th the same year. The trip lasted 164 days and took place south of the 40th parallel.
