BULGARIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF GEOLOGY
The National Committee of Geology is composed of representatives of all important geological institutions and non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria. Its principal tasks are to maintain the links with the international geological organizations (International Union of Geological Sciences; International Geological Congress; the International Lithosphere Programme) and to co-ordinate the efforts of the Bulgarian geological organizations and institutions on the international field. The Committee is composed of four personal members and nine ex-officio members-heads of the Bulgarian geological organizations and institutions.
